In previous years, the Women's Leadership Institute at Florida Atlantic University had an unimpressive turnout of attendees. As part of the Student Affairs design team, I was assigned the 2019 project to give a "facelift" to the Women's Leadership Institute in order to increase awareness and attendance.
Through strategy and research, I leveraged university branding to create a color palette and overall look that would appeal to undergrad students. I went with spring + feminine + muted brand colors for this project. Activated photography in graphic design has been popular in the past two years, so I used this look for the deliverables because it has proven to be attention-grabbing. Consistency across platforms is always paramount, so I designed each piece to reflect the overall look.
Additionally, success from these deliverables was in part to promoting each track of the conference (Get Empowered, Get Informed, Get Involved) separately to highlight the uniqueness of the Institute while promoting it’s overall purpose.
